Afterall, we are building HeroMode to make getting stuff done more fun! We released HeroMode v4.2 today! In this new release, we are introducing Adventure Templates. These templates allow you to create adventures for common goals and use cases quickly, with a cover image and color theme. We are also simplifying the process of creating repeat quests, making it more intuitive. We hope you like it!
How We Use HeroMode: Quitting Reddit, Part 2
HeroMode can be used in many different ways. In a previous post, I had described how I use HeroMode to break my Reddit habit. And since then, I have been successful in staying away from Reddit for many months! However, recently, I noticed a bug in my activity calendar, breaking my Reddit streak. This is of course unacceptable! So we implemented a data sync improvement, which has been released in v4.1. Now I can see my Reddit-free streak hitting more than 180 days!

Roadmap to HeroMode v4
With the 2023 H1 HeroMode user survey, we were able to gather very valuable user feedbacks. There are so many areas we need to improve, so we have formulated the HeroMode v4 roadmap. We will completely update the HeroMode UI, and make onboarding smoother and more intuitive. We will make it easier to create beautiful adventures with templates. And finally, we will add more motivational features so that it'd be truly fun to get stuff done.
HeroMode Chrome Extension: Embed HeroMode Within Your Productivity Workflow!
HeroMode is now available as a Chrome Extension! You can add HeroMode to Chrome, and use it within any browser page.
With the HeroMode Chrome Extension, you can manage all your adventures and quests directly within your existing workflow. For example, now I use HeroMode on my iPhone, and I also have the HeroMode extension embedded in my Gmail browser tab.
