HeroMode v4 has been released both on the web and on iOS! It has a brand new look, with new UI elements and design patterns. We hope you like it!
As we mentioned last month, we have learned a ton from our users, and we have a lot of improvements planned for HeroMode.
Today I'm happy to announce some of those improvements are now available in the newly released HeroMode v4!
A New Look
If you have been using HeroMode, either on the web or on iOS, you've probably noticed that at some point during the last week, we got a new look!

And the same visual experience is also available on the web version of HeroMode. For example, when you use HeroMode's Chrome extension.

With this UI overhaul, we want to make HeroMode more colorful, more playful, and more joyful to use. We hope you like it!
Other Improvements
The v4 release also comes with other improvements, including:
- We addressed some issues on cross-device data sync.
- Some UI tweaks, such as Adventure Milestones.
- Default color theme when creating a new adventure.
More importantly, the new release consolidates and organizes a lot of our codebase to support its cross-platform functionalities. As we discussed last week, a lot of work was done to bring HeroMode from an iOS-only app to a cross-platform app. The codebase consolidation ensures we can continue to build HeroMode with a single codebase, while supporting multiple platforms.
