We have released HeroMode v6 on the web and Chrome Extension! This is the first phase of our v6 release. We have made the app much faster and smoother. We are also working on new UI elements and new features. Stay tuned!
We have just launched a new app called "Minimal Fast Tracker". It's a side project that we were able to bring to completion in about a month. Along the way, HeroMode has been very helpful as always. Specifically:
- We used HeroMode to manage the project, and to keep track of the tasks.
- We used HeroMode to prioritize this project relative to others.
- We used HeroMode to stay focused on the most important tasks.
In this post, we'll share more about the app, and how we used HeroMode to launch it!
HeroMode is one year old! Within the last year, we've added numerous features and improvements to make HeroMode truly motivating. Now, for the upcoming v6, our primary focus is optimization. In terms of app performance, we've compiled a long list of codebase improvements to speed up response times. We are expecting to revamp nearly the entire codebase. Additionally, we are continuously improving the app layout, such as the Adventures List screen, to make it more visually appealing and informative. Stay tuned for the phased rollout of HeroMode v6, where optimization and an enhanced user experience take center stage!

We have released HeroMode v5.6. In this new release, you can now pin quests to the top of the list for convenient prioritization. Pinned quests stay on top until they are completed or unpinned. We have also split the quest Delete vs Expire buttons. In an upcoming release, we have also implemented the "start quest" button directly into the avatar of the assigned hero of the quest. With all these action buttons available to each quest, you have many ways to organize your tasks and stay focused on what's important.

We are announcing the release of HeroMode version 5.5, which adds the final pieces to the new user onboarding experience update. We've improved the introduction sliders to better highlight the app, added zero-state usage hints to help new users get started, and introduced information centers to provide relevant functional details when necessary. Together with the adventure templates and the in-app contact support feature, we hope new and existing users alike will find it easier to use HeroMode. We're constantly striving to make HeroMode a task management system that's fun, engaging, and motivating, and we hope these updates are a big step in that direction!
